This course is designed to help governors prepare for an OFSTED inspection and understand their role within the inspection process. The course covers the following areas:

- Understanding the curriculum
- Essential preparation prior to an inspection
- Safeguarding expectations
- The inspection visit – how will governors be involved?
In addition, this course outlines the revised inspection process and the changes to the school inspection framework and handbooks:
- Inspecting the curriculum – evaluating leaders’ intent for the curriculum and their understanding of its implementation and impact
- Evaluating long-term and medium term thinking and planning, content choices and curriculum sequencing
